Current Deep Dive

Returning to the Wizarding World

Welcome to my Harry Potter deep dive — a series I didn’t plan to start right now, but life (and moving boxes) had other ideas. I’m in the middle of a big move, which means all my physical books, including Brimstone, the next book of the Fae and Alchemy are taped up, stacked, and waiting for their new shelves. But my Kindle is fully charged, and sitting right there on it is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. So while my library is temporarily out of reach, Hogwarts is just a tap away.

I’ve read maybe the first two books before, but I’ve never completed the series, and I’ve definitely never approached it with the kind of intentionality I bring to my deep dives. That said, Harry Potter is a beloved classic that has been read, dissected, analyzed, theorized, and academically studied since 1997. In other words… it’s been done. A lot. So this won’t be my usual chapter‑by‑chapter breakdown.

Instead, I’m taking a more reflective, discussion‑based approach. I found a set of thoughtful questions to guide each post, and I’ll be weaving in my reactions, theories, emotional spirals, and the little details that hit differently when you’re reading as an adult. This is less about retelling the story and more about rediscovering it — gently, curiously, and with fresh eyes.

If you want to read along, I’d love the company. Bring your nostalgia, your opinions, your favorite quotes, and your hot takes. I’ll bring the analysis, the feelings, and the chaos. Let’s step back into the wizarding world together and see what we uncover this time around.
