Starstruck: Heavenly Bodies Blazes Past the Rating Scale

Heavenly Bodies by Imani Erriu

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

In a world ruled by the cruel and merciless Stars, Elara has been cursed by fate. A prophecy promises she will fall for a Star, but that it will kill them both.

So when Ariete, Star of Wrath, War and Chaos, descends to wreak havoc on Elara’s kingdom, she flees her home—the Kingdom of Night—for the neighbouring Helios, Kingdom of Light.

And strides straight into the arms of an enemy prince.

Fearing that Ariete might turn his sights to Helios next, Prince Lorenzo is forced to train Elara as a weapon—one worthy of battling against the tyrannical reign of the Stars. But there are shadows even within the Kingdom of Light—and they threaten to reveal the darkness in Lorenzo’s past and the ancient magic that slumbers in Elara’s veins.

And with it all comes an undeniable, star-crossed pull between Elara and Lorenzo that neither can seem to resist...

Never have I ever rated a book more than five stars…Until Heavenly Bodies came into my life by way of a traveling book club. There were some very mixed emotions on passing the book to the next book bestie. I hated that I had to pack it up and mail it off into oblivion, but ecstatic that I can share it with another person who has never read it before. Now I’m stalking the calendar waiting for the release for the sequel due to release late November.

Characters: 10/10

These characters are stunning! Each one, from Elara all the way down to the street vendor selling bread in Heavenly Bodies pulses with depth and emotion. Princess Elara and Prince Lorenzo commands the pages of this book with an intensity that only royalty can achieve. Even the supporting characters shimmer with unique voices, desires, and secrets. Their relationships are intricately bound, drawing readers into a realm where destiny and choice collide.

Atmosphere: 10/10

You know the age-old question? Which book world would you want to live in? I could never answer the question. My main character energy doesn’t want no parts of the conflict, but I certainly wouldn’t mind living as the bread vendor I mentioned earlier in the world of Celestia. The level of detail in the world building is superb! There are twelve different kingdoms, and each one has its own culture. Each one that we visit in the story feel alive, pulsating with energy. The ambiance is immersive, making readers feel like citizens among the stars.

Writing Style: 10/10

Can we agree that we’ve all essentially read the same story many times over? Somehow Imani Erriu took familiar tropes and made them feel fresh, with dialogue that sings with authenticity. The descriptions detailed enough to bring Celestia off the page and unfold around you.

Plot: 10/10

Star crossed lovers. A prophecy. Enemies to lovers. Found family. Forced proximity. Royalty and magic. Heavenly Bodies checks all the boxes. Erriu seamlessly weaves intrigue, romance, and destiny into a narrative that never loses momentum. Every revelation feels earned, every triumph bittersweet, every loss unforgettable. The pacing? Flawless. The spice? My Goodness. Whew.

Intrigue: 10/10

I can’t remember the last time I’ve sat down and devoured a book for long stretches. From the first page, Heavenly Bodies ensnares the mind and refuses to let go. It’s impossible to read passively—every page compels, every scene fascinates.

Logic: 10/10

Even though Heavenly Bodies is infused with celestial magic and divine forces, the story remains believable. The rules of its universe are meticulously crafted, never breaking immersion. Its lore is rich, its world consistent, making even the most fantastical elements feel real.

Enjoyment: 10/10

Rarely does a book enchant me so completely. I was singing its praises when I was only a quarter of the way through. Heavenly Bodies is a novel to be devoured yet savored, destined to be revisited time and again. It’s the kind of story that lingers in the heart like the soft glow of distant stars—a tale that demands to be felt, not just read.

Overall CAWPILE Score: 10/10

Rating: 6 Stars – Beyond Perfection

Heavenly Bodies is an experience—a masterpiece where storytelling, emotion, and beauty collide. It’s more than 5 stars; it’s an entire galaxy of brilliance. If you're seeking a novel that reminds you why you love fantasy, look no further than Imani Erriu’s celestial wonder. This book is officially my favorite book of 2025. And let’s be real - The only book that can knock it out of the bracket is it’s sequel Fallen Stars, scheduled to be released November, 25th 2025.
